Carmen Sandiego and her band of crooks may be the most effective geography teachers ever. “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego,” produced by WQED and WGBH, was a fast-paced game show. The format involved clever animation, lots of kids, and lots of music to teach concepts and facts about the world.

The show had a highly successful multi-year run.
